Company not to be trusted

I had this device for maybe 2 weeks .i called them a week after I got this and they try to ajust it by phone. After another week I called them and told them this hearing aids is driving me crazy and I am sending them back.

I ve put it in the same box and send it through the postal service. They called me today and said I owe them $1300. They never called me before to say I owe anything.

This is a big scam. Is there any place we can report these people?

I am totally confused because I have 2 friends who are both using aids from Listenclear and they are both totally happy with them. They both have the set that comes with a small remote for adjusting !

Me too, have had mine over one year and they have sent me two new pair when I lost them. Cost me $75 each timr, my deductible .

ListenClear - This company will SCAM you

My elderly grandpa ordered hearing aids from Listen Clear with the understanding that he had a 45 day risk free trial period.

After taking them into his hearing doctors office and his doctor telling him they would not work for him, he called Listen Clear to return them. They went through the entire process to trouble shoot all the issues with no resolve.

They tried many ways to trouble shoot and finally connected him to the RETURNS department. Alex Ingalls, in the RETURN department did not offer my grandpa an option to return the hearing aids, but rather offered him a DISCOUNT to keep them. He then asked if he would like to make his first payment, which my grandpa did. What was not explained to him was that accepting the discount and making the payment VOIDS the 45 day trial period.

Because my grandpa can't really hear what he's agreeing to, (that's why he's ordering hearing aids), he thought he was agreeing to return them. He was talking to the RETURNS department, right? So, long story short.

He can't use them or return them so he will throw them in the garbage and continue to pay his discounted $980.00.

This company is SCAMMING elderly people. DO NOT ORDER FROM THEM.

ListenClear - Failure to send receipts of payments

On 6 different occasions I have requested that Listenclear send me monthly proof of payment so that I can be reimbursed by my insurance company. On each occasion I've been assured that it is forthcoming.

On the last 2 occasions I was assured that "it was mailed 2 days ago" and "I'll send you an email right now" respectfully. I have yet to receive anything from them. I strongly caution you to make perfectly sure they are for you before contracting with them, you simply can't trust them.

I will now pursue any avenue available to me for restitution, and have begun this process by mailing their hearing aids back to them. I'll get advice as to where to go from here.

We have received the hearing aids and closed your account. We do not typically send out a monthly invoice, however we do try to accommodate requests especially when needed for insurance purposes.

I was happy with the product

I am writing because I need your help again I am still having financial problems my son isn't working yet and I don't have enough money for the payment I don't know if you made a note in my file that some one stole my hearing aids since back in September when my sister was in hospice and alot of people were coming and going well September the 23rd she passed and during that time is when I lost them. Well I have been making my payments but I need your help again please give me a break for a couple of payments I am very close to having my financial problem taken care of as soon as my son starts working things will get better for me and I will stay on top of this payment and I will be able to buy my hearing aids again too bad they are so expensive I am already paying alot of money for them can you give me a break and sell them cheaper?

Please let me know if you will not pull out the payment for this month coming?

Very Upset about Listen Clear

I agreed to have Listen Clear send me a pair of hearing aids. I agreed to put $1.00 on my credit card toward postage.

I returned them past the 45 days and now they are billing my crdit card $69.00 a month total is $1500.00 . Why should i pay for these when i do not have them and did not like them. They are lying to my Credit card company saying i agreed . I sent them back all intact.

I will nkt pay for something i dont have and did not like.

To be able to have hearing aides you have to go to a doctor. This is all false advertising.

Thank you for your feedback. Our policy gives customers 30 days to get the hearing back when a return is requested. We explain to expect a label in 5-7 days. Return was requested 12/6/2017. We were made aware the label was not received on 2/14/2018. Hence the charges from 1/6/2018 and 2/6/2018. The hearing aids were received 3/12/2018 and the account was closed.

They called me to do something with my account and when I talked about what the FCC said about how they paste in your voice saying yes to something you really didn't agree to, she laughed at me. I notice the latest bill says make all checks out to ICOT Hearing Systems, LLC.

I looked them up and it is owned by a Tracy Young in Clearwater, Florida. I sent that person a letter which was returned by the post office as undeliverable,vno such person there, unable to forward. I had also sent a copy of the letter to the billing address for Listen Clear and it had not been returned.

I will not change any information my bank has for sending payments because it's looking like a scammer is scamming the scammers and who knows where my payment might go. I still am being invoiced for the wrong amount and they still refuse to fix it.

Crooked company listen clear thieves

Do not go through this company they do not honor their trial. They will keep you from returning the product they won't allow you to return it they'll steal your money they won't work with you after the fact they are not even allowed to sell them under the Fair Trade Commission laws adopted April of 2011 they are fraudulent and deceptive in their sales practice beware

After getting my hearing aids..with in a week..i could no longer use them..the high pitch squeals. I called them with no resolution.

I have now been paying dor over 2 yrs.

I have tried cancelling. That got me very aggessive and threatning phone calls...horrible horrible people

Their rep told me on the phone that the hearing aids would be 29.99 and I could return them for total credit after 45 days. He didn't explain that they were a total of 1700.00.

They took 139.00 per month from my credit card, which went on for four months before I realized it. I called and cancelled the credit card charges, only to be told that I had missed returning them within the 45 day period,therefor they couldn't be returned for credited , even though their rep told me I could return in less that 45 days if I chose to.

They record ALL telephone contacts and have the evidence of what their rep told me and still demand I pay the total price. CON CON CON

This company prays on elderly people and sells them hearing aids without giving them a hearing test. Couldn't even get them to work. Wouldn't take them back or help me out since I had missed the deadline.

Charging my Credit Card

I authorized Listen Clear to take $1.00 from my credit card for shipping of the hearing aids. After receiving my hearing aids, Listen Clear charged my credit card $69.99 a month for three months.

They advertise 45 days free. They did not even wait 45 days and took money without my authorization or knowledge. I finally had to change my credit card # or they would keep on doing this.

In the brochure with the hearing aids it specifically states that Federal Law restricts the sale of hearing aids to those individuals who have obtained a medical evaluation from a licensed physician. .

I believe that this company is taking advantage of senior citizens.

Not many people are informed of this law and this is a way for seniors on a fixed income to save money. This is fraudulent.

Yes! This company tells you the one time fee is less than $100 and return it in45 days if not satisfied.

They fail to tell you about the monthly payments that continues until you owe $1600+. Their service has been awful. There is no consumer consideration and I do hope more people read this before considering them.

It's a typical scam and even more a scam with people who cannot hear well which happens to be a lot of elderly people. Shameful scamming elderly people.

ListenClear is NOT a hearing aide! It does nothing but amplify some sounds and make other sounds very muffled and confusing!

I lost my hearing completely in the Left ear and only have about 60 percent in the Right ear, due to a shooting inside a closed car. I am still alive, by the grace of GOD!

I am on Medicare but needless to say, they won't help me buy a hearing aide, they will only pay to have my hearing tested........ The ListenClear commercials kept advertising. so I called. First, they're SALES REP, told me that he would give me a $100 discount and they could accept monthly pmts directly from my Disability Card.

My stupidity, I agreed. They told me I would be charged $400 and I was. Then they continued to charge $40 a month! When I contacted them, they informed me that I still owed $450!

That's a $850 total! The only way I could stop them was when my card expired, they no longer could charge the new card. In the meantime, the "thing" is NOT A HEARING AIDE! I found that out the first time I used it...the sounds "echo" loudly!

For months I couldn't wear it. It bothered me more than helping me. When my hearing got worse, I wore it about a dozen times and it stopped working! It flips on and off, the battery has to be replaced every couple of days or it makes extremely loud "screeching" sounds!

They sent me a letter informing me that I needed to contact them....well I did!!!

I simply told them I wasn't paying ANY MORE MONEY and if they had a problem with that, I would see them when we go to court! I'll let the "Judge" listen to their piece of crap amplifier!!!

They solicited me! Sent me free product to test and continued to send more "free" product for testing.

Also continued to do this when I said: No. (My doctor advised me this is NOT a real hearing aid.) Returned product. NEVER received a bill.

NOW they call constantly tellimg me I owe $1K plus. Bad company, poor imitaton of a real hearing aid.

dollars by the consumer financial protection bureau.
